Genelia D'Souza is an Indian actress. She has appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada language Indian films. Genelia D'Souza was born in Mumbai. Genelia grew up in Mumbai and recognizes herself as a Mangalorean Catholic. Genelia studied at Apostolic Carmel High School in Bandra, Mumbai. She joined St. Andrews College, Bandra to pursue her Bachelor's Degree of Management Studies. Other than doing films, she was also a state level athlete and a national level soccer player. Genelia made her debut in Bollywood in 2003. Her first Hindi film was Tujhe Meri Kasam opposite Ritesh Deshmukh. She first hit the lime-light with a Parker Pen commercial with Amitabh Bachchan and further did a Fair and Lovely ad with Krishnamachari Srikkanth.The movie has debutant Imran Khan, Aamir Khan's nephew, as the hero. The Jaane Tu.. Ya Jaane Na movie released in July 4, 2008 and was a success across India and overseas.
